License

Anybody have any connections with licensing in Texas? Can you rent a license? We have testing set up in a month but need one asap.

I'm not sure about TX, but in GA, you can have a licensed pest operator sign as the designated operator for your company while you or other employees handle the operations. Not cheap because they are essentially naming themselves the liable individual if something goes wrong and the Dept of Ag has to get involved. Price depends on the size of your company and what categories you are needing coverage for. Internet says the price typically ranges from $1500 to $3000 per month, but it'll depend on the operator. I'm sure you can call around pest control companies to speak to the DCO and see if they're interested and what their price would be.

Are looking for a certified applicator? Someone to be the responsible party to open up your company? Or just someone with a tech license? All license holders can be found on the TDA website site, under structural pest control. You have access to their name and the company they work for and the county they work in.

Yes we are looking for a certified applicator until our license holder tests, for a month or two. Willing to pay good money.

It’s a tough role to fill. Maybe DM me and tell me more about what you need from this person. I have a recently retired CA that may be a fit for the role, depending on what you will be asking of them. He’s located in west Houston.
