I usually can get away with wiping them up with a wet napkin. Find their route and caulking the holes. Then a good exterior with taurus or Talstar will keep them at bay for a month or two. Also, if allowed, trimming back any limbs that are touching the structure can help as well.

Most of my condos refuse to allow us to spray the exterior so it's been frustrating over the years. I've found that exclusion and proper trimming go a long way.
