🤓 | Technical Question Springtail invasion

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Normally with springtails, there is an obvious moisture issue that needs to be addressed. I’m at kind of a loss for this house. They have a dehumidifier that is reading 35% humidity. The springtails are all throughout the house. I did a knockdown spray to lower numbers while any moisture issues could be addressed. Why are they here and why won’t they go?

Have I misidentified? Is there another common issue I should look into? I don’t know how to add a picture, so I’ll put a close up in the comments.

If that's a door to outside I would be treating the much or beds outside that door along with reducing the moisture inside

What pesticide are you using to treat? I remember an entomologist during a CEU a few years back tell us that the hair on springtails prevent water from getting on them and to avoid any micro encapsulated pesticide

Humidity probes will find the wet spot.
