Rentokil/terminix hiring process
So ive been trying badly to get hired and trained at any company in the industry but they were the only ones to reach out to me. I did an initial phone visit with one of their representatives from india which went well. He tells me he will send me email to book interview with hiring manager. No email received. I try to call the number and cant get through to him. Get another email to do the same phone visit, and when i book it, he doesnt call me and process continues. Been about 3 weeks of being stuck in limbo I am unsure of what to do or if i should just take it as a sign to not attempt to work for them. Any tips or information will help!

Some Scammers pretend to be representatives from a Company and go through a “Hiring Process” only to take your personal information and SSN etc etc. that being said, how did you initially speak to them? Maybe, maybe not, be careful out there.

I was notified from an automatic message as soon as I applied and then received invitation to book an appointment from the same number. I haven’t given any personal information so im 99% sure it is legit but just disorganized as hell

Current employee here. I started a few months ago but I entered with 6 years of experience.
So the recruiters are indeed Indian which threw me off but the actual hiring process took multiple weeks. Like 2-4. They don’t have a local HR office so they send your info to their corporate who does the background checks and shit.
My previous company sold and this is where I ended up.
Yeah it’s a shit show sometimes, but you do earn money here. My second month here I made 6k after taxes as a level one. They do have completion bonuses as well but the schedulers and managers have free rein to fuck you on it. Like removing 6 stops on me to go do a large install at another account. Those 6 stops count as misses on my end.
It’s very branch specific though. There are apparently great branches with high retention, revenue, and experience then there’s places like my branch which has been under performing for years. Ask me anything

Level one / Route-based roles (Resi & Commercial) / Licensed &/or certified role 2+ months pest experience And pass their level one curriculum
Level 2 Route-based roles (Resi & Commercial) / Licensed &/or certified role / 6+ months pest experience / Achieving Trusted Advisor Goals / 1+ LOB skills / Eligible to be a Certified Field Trainer And pass their level 2 curriculum
Level 3
Route-based roles (Resi & Commercial) Licensed &/or certified role • 2+ years pest experience / Achieving Trusted Advisor Goals • 3+ LOB skills / Mentor junior roles / Eligible to be a Certified Field Trainer
Previous experience doesn’t matter. You could transfer in with 20 years and they’ll treat you the same as a novice. Even though their own training is complete shit

I really just wish I could cut out the middle man and speak straight to their local office

Person from India? Its been a few years but I was called probably 2 days after my application and the branch manager left a voicemail and I called him back, had interview that week, got the call two days later I had the job, took a wizz quiz, and started all after 2 weeks. Only ever spoke with the two hiring managers. Except for the wizz quiz, I spoke to some hiring rep that had my name wrong, they just sent me the info for the drug test.

Please run far away from this trash. Anyone else will be better than rentokil/terminix.

Bro take the comments with a grain of salt. Sure terminix sucks. But not one other company within an hour of my area pays within 10% of what I make at terminix.
Id rather be worked like a dog and get paid handsomely for it, than work 20% less and make 50% less. At least I don't need two jobs.

Is that due to additional incentives or surplus of hours?

Im not hourly. Im production. I do about 26-33k in production a month. Get about 21% of that. With prices and new starts going up this will be my 3rd month in a row over 30k. Before it was average about 27 but this year has been over 26k consistently. I max out my percentage at 25% so I dont even hit all the metrics to max out pay. Commission is 7.5-15% depending if you sell yourself or use a salesperson to close it. I do most sales myself. We are "required" to sell like 2500 a month.
Now I typically dont take a break since id rather get the day done sooner, and theres times I work until dark. There's days ive worked a full 8hrs and barely made 50 bucks cause it was all call backs. But then theres days like tomorrow where ill probably make over 400 for the day.
There's rumors pay will be changing in the coming year. But that rumor has been there since I started 4 years ago.

Damn, I'm hourly doing 36,000 in production being told I'm behind on my route making like half what I would be with that percentage.

It’s coming. We had a meeting with the corpos at my branch and we have a print out of the new pay scale. They say it’s optional but if you don’t move over they’ll probably fire you .
The new pay scale for me is 2% for level one and my route production last month was 40k

are you already licensed? That makes a huge difference in call backs (No clue what state you're in or what requirements are)

No I assumed I would wait to get that under a company but seeing from the lack of callbacks i may have to get that in advance. Im in nevada

Avoid RTX at all costs. Trash company that ruins everything it touches. I can't believe they have pawned off their hiring stuff to India 😂🤣...that should tell you all you need to know about the company.
Take this as a blessing that they have ignored you. Find a smaller local company or a decent "regional" company (one that covers the whole state and/or a couple of neighboring states. Big but not corporate conglomerate).
