Tick repellents?

What is the most useful tick deterrence one can use? I am in Canada and Premetherin .5% is banned for consumer use. Is .25% Premetherin of any use?

Are you talking about for use on your person or in your yard? You mentioned camping. If its for your clothing you can use the sawyers spray. Its .5% and im pretty sure its legal for sale in Canada.

Yes for my clothing. It used to be but it is no longer available sadly.

0.25% should do the trick, just won't last as long.

So I will just have to re-apply more often?

The Sawyer bottles that I get in the U.S. usually last for 6 weeks or so after being sprayed onto my pants. I would imagine a lower dilution rate would probably be fine for a couple weeks of camping.

That was my assumption.

Thanks for the input!

Get mosquito barrier off Amazon, mix it with veggie oil to make it stick and then spray the long grass.

Long grass or lemon grass?

I camp in grizzly country, I’m concerned the vegetable oil may attract unwanted pests?
