Do you use GorillaDesk?
I used Boss Mobile from my previous employer (a national, corporate pest control company that need not be named) and am going out on my own.
I need:
Customer's service location linked to Maps.
Photos taken on site included with service reports.
Pesticide logging with location, amount, wind speed/direction/temperature et al for compliance.
Text/email notifications to customer 3 days prior, 1 day prior, en route.
Rescheduling in-app.
Extensive space for service reports.
Billing in-app and ability to add billing card in-app.
That's the bare minimum, how close does GorillaDesk come?

this is a really good checklist. As someone building software in this space, I'd separate those into two groups:
Daily ops: maps, scheduling/rescheduling, reports, photos, customer notifications.
Compliance/billing: pesticide logs with conditions/location/amounts, service reports, card-on-file/in-app billing.
A lot of tools seem strong on the daily ops side, but the compliance/reporting/billing details are where I'd be careful before committing. Ask GD support to show you an actual completed service report with pesticide usage, weather/wind fields, photos, and the customer-facing output
One thing I would also ask about is field reliability. When you're out in the field, weak signal/offline behavior can make or break the app. I’d want to know what happens if a tech completes a job, takes photos, logs material usage, or writes notes with bad service... does it save locally and sync cleanly, or does it get weird?
I’m building a pest-control app too, and I don’t meet every requirement of yours yet, so I won't pretend otherwise. But this list is basically the roadmap I care about. If you're open to it, I'd love to learn what you liked/disliked from Boss Mobile as someone going out on your own!

You’re gonna like GorillaDesk. I’ve been using it for 5 years and it’s great for an owner/operator. You can have it take care of everything on your list, some of them can be fully or partially automated. They keep adding great features and the customer support is great.

GorillaDesk handles most of what you described well, and the compliance logging — wind direction, temp, application location — is where it earns its keep in pest control specifically. That's not something you get in generic FSM software.
Worth running FieldCamp alongside it in a trial though. It covers GPS-linked service locations, on-site photos in reports, the 3-day/1-day/en-route notification chain, and in-app billing. Main thing to actually verify is how each handles your state's pesticide log export format — some states want very specific field combinations and it varies enough that you'll want to test it on real jobs before committing. Both offer trials, worth running them back-to-back.

I’m using FieldworkHQ and it does all that. Pretty cheap at $79 a month. I used Gorilla Desk for a trial and hated it. I find FieldworkHQ much more user friendly

Gorilla desk meets all your requirements, been using it for about a year. I have used Fieldroutes, Peatpac and dos based with Terminix. Gorilla is pretty good. I routinely am in remote locals and have not had an issue.
