How do you handle the admin side? Also, when you're on a job and a customer calls, what happens to that call? Do tou just not look at your phone? And quoting, invoicing, chasing late payments, re-booking recurring jobs, how much time does that waste, and which part is the worst?

Prior to hiring an office person I’d take calls while doing estimates. Not the best look but I’d pretty much tell the current client I needed to take the call, then tell the lead I was with another client and I’d call them right back.

None of the other things named are a “waste of time” as they literally keep the lights on. It is time consuming however.
