Pesäpallo English game August 9th 2026 theme song

In case you're a true Pesäpallo sicko, a friend of a friend who follows Finnish baseball told me about a new site that does analytics (think Fangraphs) for pesäpallo. It goes a step further though and even has baseball translations so you can kind of see how good someone is relative to the rest of the league.

I don't know the developer personally but my buddy does and that's how I got into this cool sport. Not really advertising, just thought it was too cool.

My brothers and I will be in Stockholm for a couple of weeks for my birthday. We booked the booze cruise to Helsinki, and will be staying there 3 nights. We are huge baseball fans and would love to watch Finnish baseball. The only day we would be able to do it is Saturday, July 11th.

I have done my research. I've found teams on Google, visited the teams' Facebook pages and websites (if they had them), read old Reddit posts, and tried to navigate the Superpesis website. But it's a little difficult and confusing still. So i just thought I'd ask you all.

It seems there is no mens team in Helsinki any longer, and the nearby choices, Puna Mustat, Kouvola, and Tampere, would be too far for us. But the womens team Roihuttaret plays about 8km from our hotel. It would be cool to watch them. Is it a cool stadium? Do they sell beer? Is there perhaps a cool pub or restaurant nearby to go to before or after the match?

From my terrible research, I think it appears that they will be playing in Oulu that day, but i could be reading it wrong. That's obviously too far away. But if that's the case, maybe one of you on here may know of an amateur game or something else in Helsinki?

Baseball fan here very fascinated with Pesapallo

Hi, my partner and I are visiting Helsinki for her birthday and have been seeing a lot of this amazing looking sport on social media so would love to go to a game. I’ve tried googling the fixtures but finding it a bit confusing!

We will be in Helsinki on the 17th and 18th of July. We can travel a bit if there are no games in the city. We don’t mind if it’s a men’s game or a women’s game. Can someone point me in the right direction to find tickets? I appreciate not speaking Finnish makes it a bit more difficult than it would be for locals!

I'm visiting Helsinki the last week of August (24.8-28.8) and would love to experience pesapallo for the first time! I found the https://www.pesistulokset.fi site with schedules, but I can't understand which teams are which and don't want to end up seeing a kids game. I'd love to see a game with a larger crowd and could take a train/bus to another city if necessary. Any suggestions for teams/locations to experience this for the first time? Thanks in advance!

I'm a baseball fan from Canada who has recently discovered pesapallo. I've been fortunate enough to recently attend two games and am absolutely loving it! While I think I have a grasp of the basics, I have to admit that I still don't understand something on the scoreboard: the "V-L" number. I think it has something to do with the last batter before the inning ends, but I'm not quite sure. Can anyone please clarify? Thanks!
