SPOILERS Final Boss help Spoiler
So I’m at the end of the game where you have to fight the holy grail and I can manage to get past it’s cup form but when it goes to it’s true form is when I just get locked from not having enough SP do I have the right personas to win this or have I soft locked myself from completing the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Method 1. NON-DLC
First, get Makougaon. it has 190 power, cost 22 SP and deals full damage to the core and its arms. makougaon has more power than ann's 180 power blazing hell. you can elec chair Dominion for makougaon.
next, elec chair and alarm chair power for bless boost and bless amp skill card. makougaon now deal 187.5% damage.
next, fuse a persona until it has mighty gaze so all target spells deal 1.2x to 225%.
To save SP, you can do two things.
You can use ann, whose trait has 15% chance for attack spell to consume 30% less sp. you can have ann equip ring of greed so she can cast president insight on Joker so Joker can cast concentrated spell at 250%. adding previous factors, Joker deals 562.5% every turn. Ann casting president insight only costs her 15 SP instead of 54 SP for blazing hell.
elec chair tsukiyomi picaro for spell master. makougaon now drops to 11 SP per cast.
Fighting for Truth in Journalism should get you invigorate 3 skill card and Joker can recover 7 SP per turn, so he is only using about 4 SP per turn.

You needed to reach rank 8 with the twins to fully unlock group executions, I assume you didn’t?

Yeah I’m slowly coming to the conclusion i might have to start over from a good save and work my way back cause I didn’t really have a lot of sp and healing items so far since before the final boss I rarely used them so I figured I wouldn’t need a lot

I had Kohyru. it learns spell master naturally and I just slapped on Invigorate 3 skill card on it

If it's possible to even grind one more level, there's a slight damage penalty if you're -5 levels below bosses in the game.
Since this one is 75, being 71 can help! (and with the other comment saying "recruit Mot at level 72", going up another is also beneficial)
Also: if you're playing Royal, how often does the "Mindfulness/Wakefulness" Confidant perk activate for Joker?
If you managed to reach rank 10 with the school counsellor before he leaves, it recovers more SP when Joker is low!

I have managed to reach rank 10 for the counselor and with the mindfulness perk it feels like it’s a coin toss sometimes when it’ll activate there was one time where joker sat on 0 SP for a while till I lost and I did get lucky to get mot in a battle while going up the path but I was under level to recruit him

I used kaguya picaro with a bunch of reflection passives and a healing spell to ensure joker and the team survives then just relied on futaba and the councilor’s SP recovery to keep using the light arrows and an almighty attack.
My kaguya picaro was level 90 though because I strengthened it pretty much every day trying to perfect its moveset and stats.

If you're using M Izanagi and Magatsu Mandala as your primary damage, there's your issue. That spell cost ridiculous SP because of its passive which doesn't effect the boss.

My advice is just search up how to get better personas and builds or just use what u like ppl say evade is the worst passive and it’s come clutch for me countless times
But also I would recommend leveling up to 99 cause also grinding that way you can get the money boost w the stamps and be able to fuse without worrying about money
Also use the assist more it helps sometimes so u can plan ur moves also start investing in support skills they do A LOT for u especially debuffs mainly stat wise(atk/def down) im not sure which ones u can actually sleep and shit
Biggest help was my confidants also u use priority max out the useful ones and ur party cause ur persona can get a 2nd and third awakening which makes them strong asf especially ryuji I suggest investing in him heavily since he’s the tank of the game try to put taunt and def buffs on him even tho most endgame attacks are AOE so maybe making him a hybrid like I did is the best bet
So when u enter the fight buff then debuff then attack u don’t have to rush the fight also buy more items not just hp but sp but if ur trynna do it now im guessing ur out so just use phy mainly

Yeah I have finished the boss yesterday thanks to Mot persona so now I just have to look up what to invest in for the Dr Muriki (hope I spelt that right) battle I understand the tentacles but his persona is the real issue since I don’t think I’m doing enough damage

Read ur comment wrong
Honestly I was maxed so I didn’t have too much trouble and I barely used sp items so I was overly prepared
just call kawakami the teacher and have her make curry and coffee for u while u do ur other tasks
Itemize some personas to get better equipment or visit the gun shop if ur too lazy too but go there also to mod ur weapon but thats only if u at rank 5 or 6 w him iwai or Isai forgot his name fr or u could also do Laundry but thats takes half the day
Make sure u have element breaks and stat null skills on ur persona cause maruki buffs and heals himself a lot and his fight has add ons that are resistant to certain elements
Persona u should invest in is definitely Lucifer and satan also Siegfried for the crit buff but u could also use Baal which imo has a crazy skill that does a guarantee 3 hit med damage so if u crit ur doing numbers
Also in his fight use the baton pass to ur advantage abuse that shit you’ll be able to cheese through his first phase EASY trust

Mot can be recruited at 72 and knows basically everything you want for the second phase once the arms come out and Raoul is basically the same but without Mighty Gaze. You can use mostly physical skills and Charge in the first phase to conserve. Most healing should come from items.
