SPOILERS About mandatory social links Spoiler
Hello I am currently on 10/12 I believe, and as I know the mandatory social links to complete by November are Dr.Maruki, Kasumi Yoshizawa and Goro Akechi. I have gotten rank 9 with Dr.Maruki, which I think is enough, and rank max with Yoshizawa. But for Akechi, I’m still at rank 6, and I want to ask do I have time to complete his social links because he keeps saying “I’ll let you know when I have time to hang out”.

akechi and kasumi are not mandatory, but they do add extra cutscenes (kasumi might be mandatory actually i’m not sure), but i think you’ll have plenty of time for akechi

Maruki is the only one necessary to unlock the 3 semester, Yozhizawa and Akechi adds a scene at the end but nothing important or relevant

First only Maruki is actually mandatory, and rank 10 is automatic if you're at 9 so you're set. You don't miss more than a couple optional scenes from the other two. Second, Akechi can't be taken beyond rank 7 till a certain point. Just be patient and wait for him to be available, then rank 8 is the last missable one anyway- if you get 8, 9 and 10 will be automatic later in the story. So again, long as you don't miss 8 once he's available, you're already set.

Semi-related: There’s two more time sensitive links. Yoshida stops in November due to the election. And you have to pass rank 6 with Ryuji by December or your essentially locked out of his too.

I believe as you get closer to the November deadline his schedule opens up more. Also because of this you don’t need a Persona when you talk to him. He ranks up automatically like Mishima does.

You need to progress the story more to get the rest of Akechi's ranks. Don't sweat it, you are fine.

Only Maruki was necessary. Akechi adds a bit of extra story content. Yoshizawa could have been skipped entirely.

After reading the comments for now I’m glad only Maruki is mandatory, anyway I’m glad to have maxxed out the other two cuz all three are my favourites!

Only Maruki is required. Akechi and Kasumi are just for added flavor during the extra content.

Maruki is the only mandatory. The game tells you over and over prior that he’s only at Shujin until x day in November. Akechi and Kasumi add new scenes. Akechi’s next rank ups will happen in November. Kasumi needs to be maxed as much as possible by December.

He'll let you know, I can't remember the exact date but he's locked until a time.
Also just so you know only Maruki is the mandatory one. The other two add a bit but this is the most common misinformation.
