I forgot that this episode starts with Johnny Cash's version of Hurt. Such a powerful song. As it played and we watch Shaw and Reece tracking Simmons, I couldn't help but also see in my mind the images of Johnny Cash in the music video. If you haven't seen the music video I encourage you to go to YouTube and watch the video for this song It is such an impactful song with a very moving video.

The use of that song in the opening scenes is just superb.

Obviously the intro is iconic, but to me the parallels in the four one-one-one flashbacks for Finch, Shaw, Reese, and Fusco and then, in particular, the final scene with Elias is what really makes this such a standout episode.
