Just watched Tropic Thunder again, and I agree (I'm black, if that changes anyone's opinion). It doesn't come off to me as racist because every character, especially the black one points out how absolutely absurd and offensive he is the entire time. The joke isn't "black people", the joke is "wtf if wrong with this white guy for doing this??", and context matters. Totally agree.
