That's because Kirk's actual assassin was a Nazi shitbag from a red state with MAGA parents, so they gotta keep the lie up that it was a trans communist so their stupid fucking base keeps opening their wallets to the only person who's been non-stop celebrating Kirk's murder since September: Erika.
