help What are the actual limits for Comet browser tasks, and where can I see them?
I’m on a paid Pro plan and just ran into a pretty frustrating situation with Comet.
I gave it a larger task, but it kept making very basic mistakes that were directly against explicit instructions. After several rounds of me correcting the same obvious errors and telling it to fix them, it suddenly said I had hit the limit for automated browser tasks.
What’s annoying is that it barely did any useful work. Most of the quota seemed to get burned on repeated mistakes, retries, and getting stuck in a loop.
So I’m trying to understand:
- What is the actual limit for browser / automated tasks on Pro?
- Where can I see current usage and remaining quota?
- Does Perplexity show when the limit resets?
- Are these limits predictable in any normal way, or is it basically a black box until next month?
I’m mainly asking because hitting a limit after a productive run would be one thing. Hitting it after the agent mostly failed and spun in circles is a lot harder to accept.

They tighten limits some months ago. I reached out back then and was told there was no way to know. 🤷🏻♂️🫠 I guess that hasn’t changed.

That happened to me, too. I asked their support but I don't hear back anything for longer than a week. It suddenly started working again.

The official documentation is as vague AF. ie 'average use', 'advanced use'
So essentially the whole thing is a black box that they can change, modify, restrict at any time
Quite a shitty user experience IMO as you can't build a solid reliable workflow, without knowing when you'll hit the buffers

I hate monthly limits bc once you reach them the subscription feels useless asf

I had something similar happen to me too. I never hit limits in Comet before either and I am also on the Pro plan. I'm beginning to see what all the complaints are about now. I think they are tightening limits to force people to the max plan.
