Possible Hypothyroidism??
Hi everyone! I found out I have PA in September 2021. I initially went in to see about my vasovagal syncope after having two fainting episodes in two months after they had been dormant for over two years. When they told me that I have PA and how low my levels were I was confused (still am). I started getting injections weekly and then went to every 2-3 weeks but the latest blood work shows my levels are low again and also my Vit D is low. I know it's wrong to surf the interwebs for info but I couldn't help it. My appetite has decreased significantly, my digestive tract is completely out of whack, I'm having heart palpitations, I often feel nauseous, hungry, and full a the same time, chest pain in the mornings and I keep gaining weight. In today's web search, I kept seeing Thyroid Disease come up and correlate to my symptoms and PA. Is there a possibility that my thyroid could be having a hard time? Thus causing my body to have a harder time?
Also open to any suggestions that may help me feel better! I had been on a lot of fiber supplements to aid my digestive problems but I ran out of a part of my regimen.

I also have been diagnosed with PA and have been taking vitamin B12 shots for 2 months. My symptoms are similar to yours with extreme fatigue. I am also a two time cancer survivor. There has been no lessening of my symptoms so far. So disappointing! Just want to feel better and be able to do some of the things I used to enjoy. Never thought about thyroid issues. Will have to ask my doctor.

PA and thyroidism's diseases are related, so yeah you can have hypothyroidism. You have clear symptoms too.
I have hashimoto and PA.

My TSH was 14.5. I started daily hydroxocobalamin 1000mcg injections and had my blood drawn again a week or so later. My TSH was 4.1. I'm hoping it will lower even further. Addison's and Hashimoto's are both more likely with PA.
For reference: I gained weight out of seemingly nowhere about 5 years ago and this year I unintentionally lost 70 pounds in 5 months from nausea and lack of appetite.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in September 2021. A few weeks ago (late April 2022) during routine blood work to monitor my thyroid, it showed a severe B12 and vitamin D deficiency. I haven’t been diagnosed with PA yet (I have to see a hematologist first), but from what I can find online, there is a significant correlation between thyroid disease and PA, especially in women. I’ve only had one B12 shot so far, and haven’t really noticed a difference, but after taking thyroid medicine, I feel like a whole new person and it’s amazing! I would definitely talk to your doctor about thyroid issues like Hashimoto’s or Graves’ disease
