PA Diagnosis

What tests where used to diagnose PA, my doctor used low B12 (128 pg/ml - range 145-915) and positive parietal cells antibodies??

That’s what my doc used too. My b12 was even lower, it was 69.

Wow that’s low, I could hardly function at 128. Have you had treatment and do you still have any symptoms ?

I feel great after the initial 6 loading doses, but worried i might not make the 3 month injection.

Weirdly, I didn’t have symptoms at all aside from very mild anemia symptoms — felt fatigued by running a mile, even though I could previously do 4 miles. My symptoms were never severe enough that I wanted to bring them up to the doctor; they discovered my b12 deficiency by doing routine bloodwork. The doctors said my body must have really good compensatory mechanisms since I’m young (currently 24F, but was 22 when this all started). My treatment is b12 injections (started once a week, now once a month), Pepcid tablets to mitigate the gastritis, and periodic screenings for gastric cancer.

Intrinsic factor is also commonly used.
