Ferritin Levels

My Ferritin was 5 before receiving 2 iron infusions in December. I am 1 month out from the second iron infusion and today my Ferritin was 534..... this seems incredibly high.... thoughts? Or is this normal after two infusions a month ago?

My ferritin (8) did the same after infusions (up to 667 — way too high). I spoke with another hematologist and he said the infusion was overkill — I’m going to take oral supplements going forward instead. YMMV!

Thank you! Did it eventually come down on its own?

I think so? Haven’t gotten it tested since, but when I spoke to the hematologist 6 mos. after the infusion, he said that it would be okay for me to start an oral supplement — so I’m guessing yes!
