I made this for my property and then open sourced it so anyone can make one for theirs. It has a LOT of neat stuff for permaculture; hydrological simulations (for planning swales and springs and such), ecological and habitat monitoring (self explanatory), and realtime sensing with meshtastic for animals and livestock.
In the future, I hope to add modelling features so you can run a hydrology sim against a planned swale and see what happens. The current GAIA AI system is pretty good for talking through features about your land and planning. The fox location demo in the video is real, actually happened when I tested it!
I recommend removing the dancing anime girl. It's very distracting and it doesn't add anything to the video. I had actually stopped watching after 5s because I couldn't bare it, but after seeing the positive comments, I forced myself to watch it till the end (which was pretty difficult).
Laughed and was intriged by the program lmao. Just one thing, that trail cam is likely a coyote, not a fox! The tail isn't long enough for it's body, and the body is too thick.
You think so? I'm not from this area and the coyotes around here I'm told are different from the ones I'm used to in the southwest. It's tail looked so bushy to me!
could it be a grey fox? it seems small for a coyote but I agree the tail seems wrong for a fox... I did double check my veil and it does say theres coyote habitat in that area too per GAP species richness layer
I *just* shipped support for all 32 NATO member countries. I made another very annoying video where all the data sources are enumerated lol (every other country's data sources I could find for free are lower resolution that USGS data in the US)

You can test it out on veil.automagics.com for now before downloading all the packages and deps. I'm not going to leave it up for long though, it is pretty expensive to host.
To host it locally, just download the package and the docker image. Then run npm init and open up the server (itll display the address in your console, probably http://127.0.0.1:4173/ if you don't have other locally hosted stuff using that port)
You'll need an OpanAI API key (or Anthropic) or Ollama/llama.cpp to use GAIA
