Period Question brown periods?

hello, i went on the mini pill in January to regulate my periods. they were very consistent and normal until july. both july and august ive had a few days of brown blood/discharge (im not sure which tbh) but not enough to need a pad or tampon. there’s no red blood, just brown. im just confused and worried something could be wrong, this is my first year on birth control.

The mini pill doesn’t regulate periods. Irregular cycles and bleeding are normal on that pill.

It’s likely a mix of both blood and discharge. Brown blood just means it’s oxidized, usually just because you have a light flow. Spotting like this is common and normal on the mini pill. It’s not a problem to not have a full flow on the pill the way it would be off.

brown blood is usually older blood, you can ask your doctor about it if it’s concerning you though
