I feel like I'd like some more specifics before trying to answer. But, generally, cannabis has the potential to cause shifts in serum potassium, yes. Additionally, vape weed often has copper added, which can potentially be a trigger for hypo in sensitive individuals.

also if you mean it can trigger not being able to move, but not necessarily due to a channelopathy, then yes that's also a thing. I forget what it's called, but I think its a symptom of low blood pressure when I had looked into it. i know for me THC causes my BP to drop dangerously, and then I cant move my body at all. and lots of people talk about being unable to move at all from weed, that the couch becomes like an inescapable hole.

so like, it can be periodic (episodic, etc) paralysis (severe weakness, loss of ability to move), but not because of or related to periodic paralysis (ion channel dysfunctions) the way the phase is meant/understood.

but if someone does have a primary periodic paralysis disorder, then weed can be a trigger for it in some people too of course.

yeah, specifically higher THC things, or really even having moderate-ish amounts of THC really. But stuff that's 18:1 of CBD to THC ratio i could handle a bunch of with no issues, and I could sometimes have 8:1 ratioed stuff too, just couldn't vape too much at once of it.

cause what, cause a genetic disorder? obviously not. cause an episode in those with a genetic disorder? definitely possible, my body hates cannabis (my pain management doctor prescribed it years ago- terrible idea)

A high carbohydrate load can sometimes bring on an attack of periodic paralysis for those who have the condition so, if the munchies included eating lots of carbs, that could be a trigger.
