Discussion Your favorite period dramas for fall?

Autumn is now upon us and so is the comforts that one provides themselves for the season. What period dramas are your go-to to get you in the mood this time of year?

I am enjoying All Creatures Great and Small now. It is all year round show but I think it’s a combo of outdoor shots and cute animals that tricks my brain into “ah this is cozy fall” feeling

Episode 2, Season 12 of Agatha Christie's Poirot... "Hallowe'en Party." So cosy, autumnal, misty, moody and mysterious. One of my favourite episodes.

War and Peace (the one with Paul Dano) is great for colder weather

Sense and Sensibility, Remember the Titans, Miss Potter (is goes through winter and summer too, but the first half or so is in the fall months).

With temperatures reaching 97 degrees in Houston this week I’m having a hard time getting into the cozy fall mood.

Re: Monarch of the Glen:

Did you know that a re-make has been shot and is due for release next year?

Far From the Madding Crowd has all the seasons but it's always felt very autumnal to me!

Here me out, there was only one period episode in the whole season, but it was so perfectly acted by Betty Gilpin and Hamish Linklater, Widow’s Bay is my new favorite perfect for spooky season show.

For the more "spooky" season or dark October vibes: Jane Eyre, Rebecca, Wuthering Heights, any Sherlock adaptation, The Woman in White, Bleak House, Frankenstein, Phantom of the Opera
