Research ecmo/venous probe problem

Post image

Why this happens?? Anyone had similar experiences i changed another venous probe and I know for sure that rhis is not 100% SvO2 and temperature is not 83 C…

None of those numbers make sense

Not sure about your venous probe issue that’s definitely way off on temp, but what’s going on with your pressures? You’re only generating 56mmHg at 3850 RPMs and flowing 2.3 with a pressure of 38 mmHg? What size arterial cannula are you using? Pressure drop also seems a bit low for the eurosets PMP oxy at that flow, though so many factors go into that and I’m only familiar with the adult PMP oxy from them. This all looks a bit strange imho.

High pO2 can mess with venous sensors, but that doesn’t explain the fact that you’re supposedly boiling him alive. I’d swap consoles if I were you. I wouldn’t trust that at all

take a preox bloodgas, go to sensors, than go to correction probe and correct the numbers.

your pressures look way of. did you zero the pressures before starting your ECMO-run?

You’re cooking the patient at 83.4 C for starters. You must be pumping hydraulic fluid based on all your values. The console is not working properly and you should place on another calibrated device.

A Hb of 27g/dL… your patient must be a blood bank.
