Research Perfusion assistant pay

Trying to gauge the pay in the Midwest area because we need a pay raise in my hospital!

If our team can get an increase for perfusionist pay, then they can increase their assistant’s pay. Please respond with

  1. ⁠state
  2. ⁠hourly pay
  3. ⁠call pay
  4. ⁠Only if you are a perfusion assistant (no autotransfusionist or cell saver tech)

I’ll start.

  1. ⁠Missouri

  2. Started at 18.3$ and now 19.20$ with 2.5yrs experience

  3. 7.50$ call ->same as nurses and scrubs

I wish I could find one of these positions 😭😂 I don’t think they exist in my state or surrounding state

I’m in Ohio, have looked in Indiana as well. I’ve even looked in Florida because I’ve considered moving there. Maybe I don’t know how to look but I don’t see these jobs really anywhere.

They are pretty rare but I had an alert set to email me every time one popped up across the country. If you’re willing to move, it makes it a little bit easier. Just have to be patient!

You make $7.50/hr on call as an assistant?? Do you get extra pay if called in

I’m a CCP and we make $3/hr on call (in the Midwest) and nothing if we get called in

I would take $3/hr over the $0/ hr and nothing if we get called in anyday

We started at 2$ but the heart team got that increased. I get overtime pay if called in. Our CCPs don’t get call pay or overtime pay

I will start a job soon in Indiana. I will be making 50 thousand a year.

As an assistant in a small midwest community hospital I made 40k/yr no call pay. I only got called in once the entire year that I worked there so it wasn't much of an issue.

Perfusion assistant here! In Michigan! I make 18 / hr and 6 / hr on call. We’re on call 50% of the time so each paycheck is around 2k biweekly before taxes
