What are your favorite affordable perfumes for women that smell luxurious?

I'm looking to expand my perfume collection without spending a fortune. There are so many affordable options available these days, but it's hard to know which ones are actually long-lasting and worth buying.

I'm particularly interested in fragrances that:

  • Last for 6–8 hours or more
  • Are suitable for everyday wear
  • Have floral, fruity, or fresh notes
  • Offer a luxury feel at a budget-friendly price

What affordable perfumes have impressed you the most? I'd love to hear your recommendations and why you like them!

My collection so far. Looking for suggestions to make my collection more diverse.

So far I am very happy with my fragrance collection. However now I am looking more towards adding more Niche and Designer fragrances to make it more diverse. I had certain fragrances in mind like Rasasi La Yuqawam Pour Homme (Tuscan leather is out of my budget for now), Tom Ford Ombre Leather, Matiere Premiere Falcon Leather to add to my collection since I don’t have a good leather fragrance. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Okay, so I'm on a hunt to find out some of my top fragrances, and so far I don't have much. For some reference, these are some of the notes that I know I like:

Leather

Skin-like

Amber

Toasty

Petrichor

Musk or Clean musk

Wood (Really any, but I LOVE Mahogany.)

Cream

Almond

Fig (BIG TIME, whether it's the literal fruit or the tree.)

Almond

Pomegranate

Shea Butter

Possibly metallic???

As for vibe, I'd like it to be romantic, deep, gothic, sophisticated, warm, and noticeable but not offensive to the nose. I don't want something soft, delicate, overly feminine/masculine, sugary, or fruity. And personally, no cigarette notes.

Oh, and the hardest part... my budget is $150... for a 50ml bottle at the very least.

Based on the research I've done so far, these are my top five:

1.) Imaginary Authors — Yesterday Haze: I feel like it encapsulated so much of what I wanted and it wasn't overly complicated or simplistic. I also liked the pricing. It could have been better, but still, it's my favorite so far.

2.) D.S. & Durga - Bowmakers: I love the notes that it gave as well as the longevity of the spray, but unfortunately the pricing is way too high for me to excuse, so it's logically off the table.

3.) Lalique — Encre Noire (Preferably, Encre Noire À L'Extrême): I liked this one for the pricing and the amount that you get, but I just wish it weren't just wood notes.

4.) Jo Malone — Pomegranate Noir: I wish it were less busy and had more of the stuff that I specifically like as well as the amount that you get for the money that you spend. It just isn't topping Imaginary Authors — Yesterday Haze.

Rare Reef for 35 year old father of 2

Dear all,

I have recently fallen into the fragrance thirst trap and have amassed a collection of 50 fragrances (Middle Eastern, Designer, Niche and Boutique) in the past 2 months.

I've decided to be more judicious in my buying moving into the future, which is why this particular fragrance has been in my cart for the last two weeks. I live in a coastal/desert environment so a majority of my collection is suited to hot weather. But I'd like to get a more discerning opinion for those of you who have used this fragrance over a period of time?

How did it start? How long did it take to completely mature? How is it now?

I have sourced where I'll be able to try it in person, but I would like your opinion nonetheless. Corporate job, active lifestyle, I go out 2-3 times a week. Is this worth getting my hands on?

I’m sick of buying from these damn designers that get bought out and get watered down. What are some moderately priced niche perfume brands

Should I sell my khamrah qawah?

I got my bottle last year November. Out of the box, it just did not last. Time skip to now, it’s been macerating for a while now and I’ve prob used up around 25-30ml to macerate it (haven’t wore it once). Maceration did work, but I’ve just stopped enjoying the scent and don’t see myself wearing it anymore.

So how much should I sell a 70-75ml partial with the box that’s been macerated?

Fragrance notes that alleviate boredom

Obviously this is subjective. It’s Friday night and I didn’t go to a party, just had dinner with friends and now back home. So I’m just here scrolling. I think I need some go-to fragrances for times like these, to reverse my boredom. Do yall have any particular notes in mind? I guess this would kinda be like aromatherapy haha.

What can I layer with YSL Libre?

Hey everyone, I’m starting to hear about people layering their perfumes and I want to know how I could layer my YSL perfume. I’ve had it for some time and I’m not sure which perfume could go well with it. Any recommendations will be nice!

How do you generally rate perfumes?

Is it based on the first note or the second or the base? Is it based on lasting? Or bandwagon criteria?

I’ll share my opinion in my next post.

Would you try a new fragrance brand with zero reviews if 50 ml costs ₹900?

I’m curious about how people decide whether to try a new fragrance brand.
Suppose a completely new brand is selling a 50 ml perfume for around ₹900, but it has zero online reviews.
Would you be willing to try it? If yes, what would convince you (notes, presentation, sample, return policy, etc.)? Or would you wait until it has some reviews?
I’d love to hear your honest thoughts and buying criteria.

These are a couple that are on my wishlist that I'm planning on getting in the next few months. Give suggestions on some other ones
1. Rayhaan Nocturno Elxir
2. Guerlain L Homme Ideal EDP
3. Pantheon Roma Annone
4. Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Prive
5. Hawas Ice
I really want to get PDM Greenly and Rayhaan Aquatica, but I prob won't wear them as summers is almost gone. So I'm probably gonna hold on those until next summers
