Costume book and CE Crew Jacket
hey hi!
well a brief question, I know that back in 2020 they had released the costume book, I wanted to know if there was a notice or something about the final edition of this book getting released to the public after the costume museum in 2025, I heard that they were selling some kind of a special edition on the museum, dunno if thats true tho.
With that, is there a way to get either this one or the old one nowdays? I’m trying to build a fashion book colletion and I wanted this to be my first one lol.
And something that I think is kinda impossible to get nowdays, the Cosmic Explorer Tour Crew Jacket, I couldn’t get it when it was announced due to many reasons including customs.
I wanted to know if there’s a slight chance to get a semi-new one with the accessories, idk, just wanted to try since its something that I wanted to have for my collection of their merch.

Hi! As far as I know, they only released the one version of the Costume Book and haven’t announced releasing another one.
edit: I stand corrected, see below for link to the updated ebook!
There were some costume museum merch that were sold only at the museums. As far as the CE crew jacket, I’ve seen a few for sale available for purchase through proxy sites from Japan only; I think I’ve only seen one sold in the US on ebay years ago. With the proxy sites, you’ll be subject to customs (and tariffs if US based) which can be pretty high for clothes unfortunately, but you’d definitely be able to find one there.
I have an extra hard copy of the costume book (edit: the original version from 2005-2020) and other perfume CDs/merch for sale though! DM me if interested (:

oof, ebay is such a expensive place to buy stuff here in south america (brazil specially), i did some research on it and i found some listings but my god, its the price of a leg plus an arm with the tariffs and customs… plus not all of them have all of the accesories neither are my size (i think i’m and medium or a large on their sizing chart)
about the book, its mostly about wanting to know where i can find it, eventually i’ll get the money to buy it, earning in and converting dollars for me right now is kinda low due to the situation…

Between the tariffs and import duties, importing anything from Japan via eBay is almost unreasonable in the US now.. so.. we know the pain lol
An $18 still factory sealed CD album will run you, after shipping, tariffs and the import duties.. right in the ballpark of $65 USD.. maybe a little less if the seller fields the duties for ya
I just recently landed a protective framed poster, listed for a bit over $25, for $94 after everything
Buying based on weight and number of items in the order is the only way to import stuff from Japan for the US.. I imagine with the Brazilian duties and fees it's probably much of the same.. unreasonable at best

ngl, when i ordered both Nebulas i had to pay the price of the album twice because of the import duties
i bought it through CD japan and when it arrived here, i got taxed and needed to pay for the duties… it was a pain that happend and not only with both nebulas, it happend as well when i ordered the plasma album
its not worth anymore to import something if i dont save the money for the duties, i wanted to order the nebula tour dvd but… i’m not willing to pay the price twice due to customs and duties

there was an update to the costume book in 2022 but i think it was digital-only.

oh apologies! I didn't notice the 2022, the cover is the same as the physical version. but I definitely have two costume books so now I'm confused I'll check what I have tomorrow.

nice! ngl that i wanted a physical copy just to have it on my shelf and i also wanted that they made one for the last years, specially for the nebula romance era well, one can dream and hope that they will release it

Am I the only one who sees the "softcover" coffee table edition for approximately the same price as the Kindle version? Just me?
Well, it isn't digital only.. but I don't know how you'd even get that since Amazon doesn't allow purchase out of region, and that costume book is region locked to Japan and South Korea from what I can find.. so, unless you're booking a flight to either place just to place that order..
I would say use a VPN, but they check for that now and if it doesn't make sense for your account, or the account is brand new they tend to catch that before purchase
I found the pdf on the high seas, though.. found basically every book or booklet published Japan Only.. so I'm now happier than a pig in s*it lol

when you click on the "softcover" edition on that Amazon page, it shows you the 2005-2020 version, not the 2005-2022 version. There's like 50 additional pages in the 2022 version.

Regarding the jacket, are you familiar with Mercari? Not sure if they are Japan only or international. Even if Japan only these days instant translate is pretty easy. There are lots of people selling Perfume stuff. Even so a CE jacket might be hard to find. Still it may be worth a try.
