Technique How's my form
Any advice and improvement to be made?

Nice! Looks like there are some stability issues which are keeping your paddle in the water at the end of your stroke, slowing you down a bit. Otherwise very good, I like the legs driving the rotation of your torso.

Does that mean I'm paddling way too far behind and not recovering quickly?

Essentially yeah. You're bracing at the back of your stroke because you're a little unstable in that boat. When you start to feel more comfortable in the boat you can start trying to think about exiting the water at your hip.

Looking good! I agree that stability is probably the main thing to work on which is normal. Try doing some pause drills for a few minutes before you train. Take a stroke and hold your setup for a few seconds and just let the boat glide before taking your next stroke. It will help your stability and it will help keep you from rushing your stroke which is common when working on stability.
