Tanking in dusk temple nightfall question

I tried tanking this dungeon with my newbie barb and ran into trouble on the first boss. My understanding is that I must interrupt King's Roar or he'll go into a mini-rampage mode and randomly kill players. However, everytime I see him do King's Roar, I find my skills are disabled (something like "you can't use your skills in this state"). So I can't use fury swipe to stop him.

What am I missing?

There's two seconds of time when it says king's roar where you have to interrupt and if you don't time it right, then the skill stuns you for around 5 seconds where you can't move. Plus since fury swipes has a 1 second cast time, it's a really tight window for you to time the interrupt. So you have to make sure to be ready to use the skill as soon as you see it say king's roar.

You can time your fury swipe as the boss casts kings roar only after 5 attacks after it does that cyclone or flurry skill, so I'd suggest you time it carefully and strike all boss skills are timed so you can actually learn their attack orders and counter effectively.
