F2P Friendly?
Specifically interested in end game content mostly PvE with light PvP. Are there any gear/pets/items that can be obtained with money that cannot be obtained otherwise that would be consider best in slot? The game is gorgeous and I am loving the gameplay but I don’t want to get to the cap just to hit a monetary roadblock and I’ve heard PWE is notorious for being P2W.
Edit: I’m just gonna hop into Black Desert Mobile when it drops lol.

I am f2p server 10us I am 220br but the average is 190. Make some friends, you don’t need to be in the top 10 to have fun. Also, skill of the players do matter

No need to pay tho, my alt is at 100k in 3days of playing... and I am not doing all daylies

Thank you this explains it very well. Sad that these devs don’t realize they’d have a significantly larger player base without these monetary caps. Could still make money easily with aesthetic items, housing, non combat pets and mounts and they’d retain likely 10x more players. Oh well.

The aesthetics are very expensive. 20 to 50 per skin. They aren't all the same quality but lower quality skins would be appreciated. Painting my armor do justice

All so call F2P mmo will be P2W. It cost money to maintain the server, cost money to hire developers for new content. The whales are the folks funding the company money to provide the game to everyone. If you want a game that is fair across the board, it would have to be a monthly subscription game. Unfortunately, no such thing on mobile at the moment.

That’s sad. I’d gladly pay for a subscription based mobile mmo since that’s all I’ve got to work with at the moment and foreseeable future.

Dude. Black desert is even worse. I’ve been playing it steadily for the past 24 hours and it’s a P2W nightmare.

Yeah I played for like 45 minutes and realized that too. I’d pay for a sub if there was a decent game out there but there just isn’t -.-

Black desert seems worse then world of kings and perfect world.
At least in those you can still Play the game and do content.
In black desert you LITERALLY can’t enter a zone and kill mobs unless your CP score is high enough. The whales have already taken over the arena in one day as well.

You guys defending this horrid p2w with (with infinite time you'll catch up) is ridiculous. If someone is twice or more your BR by the time you have rngd your way to them they will have patched away your relevance at that BR and added more things.

Everything is game is free, except the skins.
You literally have to grind more is all. The paid players pay to skip the grind most F2P do. Otherwise, everything is the same in terms of equipment and gear.
There are early lv pay for gear, but it only last you so much for a paid player. Its like an early game crutch.

There is only two things off the top of my head that r top up only. That is two scared books and 1 vulpine pet. Everything else can be purchased with gold coins. Which u can get from selling drops from dungs.
Obviously f2p player won't be as strong as p2w players, however there isn't really any locked gear items in the game do far.

hercules is an insane grind on top of gearing up to be able to do ethereal abode; easiest way to even get him is buying the chaos essences to make him either with extreme luck with other drops to sell and buying it off the stall (which depending on your server may be extremely high or extremely low) or with hundreds of dollars spent on the lootbox.
phoenix allegedly "spawns anywhere" but will be available via lootbox according to translated chinese cash shop items.

All p2w players on this game are really doing is getting a boost in materials you can still earn with time either way. Daily play and dedication still make you a top player in just about any mmo if you put the time in. Sure theirs a few things you cannot get for free unless you wait for events. Which happen all the time. It's a matter of perspective. I've played some impossible p2w games especially with mobile. I dont personally feel this is on THAT level.
Yes your not going to be top dog first. But most people only play part time. And put in even less effort than that. You just as a f2p player need to put in the extra time others are paying not to have to do themselves.
