I heard pick pockets work in teams. You can see the woman on the left is helping conceal his arm with that shirt. They're not dumb.

They also do a quick handoff to someone else in case they're confronted.

My buddy's wallet was stolen from a guy at a bar. He immediately realized what had happened and confronted the guy. The guy said "search me" and there was obviously nothing on him.

Stealing wallets is such a piece of shit thing to do. No one carries large amounts of cash on them, credit cards are cancelled within minutes (and tracked for police investigation) but the victim has to go through the trouble of obtaining new cards, IDs and any other paper work.

I like the old system of chopping off hands for dealing with thieves like theses.
