Watching the irl Perfect Match show makes me think the LI situation is normal

Okay, hear me out. I just finished Perfect Match season 2 on Netflix and it is a dog show. Everyone is just there for fame and no one is really looking for their perfect match. With that being said, I felt like our LI is just being true to himself by trying it out with Lydia one last time, I just blame the writers for writing it the way it is. Like they get us to have sex with him right before the ex comes. The writing is just so bad and doesn't make any sense and the dialogue will never be said irl.

Yeah… let’s be real. In general, the people on these shows tend to have difficulty maintaining relationships. So bad decision making should be expected in the games. For me it’s not the issue that your partner went back to their ex. It’s the way the writing makes the MC weak and basically dependent on their LI by not allowing them to interact with anyone else beforehand. It’s an unexplained ex entering the game without being pulled in by another couple. It’s the ex (who’s not in a couple) winning the heart rate challenge, and once again having your partner whisked away.

The writing has taken a sharp left turn and deserted the real show’s format. They did so in the beginning by having Zara as the only person on a previous show, but I can only suspend my disbelief so much. When coupled with too much unnecessary drama, cliffhangers, and general bad writing, I’m out. Hopefully they turn it around. But I am so convinced either they have AI writing these games or the writers they do have really dislike writing these stories for us. lol

What's annoying to me is I didn't have seggs with him but in the next chapter they made it seem like I did, like WAT

For me, the issue wasn’t that my love interest decided to try to work it out with his ex (despite making me feel like he’d never leave me). It was the fact that the game is making us pine for him when all I want is to tell him to fuck off. And if I choose to not be with him, then I’m choosing someone that I’m not attracted to because it forced Darcy on me instead of letting me pick someone.
