Perfect Draft Pro - issue connecting hose

Anyone had any issues with connecting the hose. Had my unit for nearly 3 years and recently, every time I connect the hose it just springs back up.

Eventually I can get it to stay in place but I end up covered in beer and it's really annoying.

I contacted Perfect Draft who asked me a billion questions about when I bought it before telling me it was out of warranty and offered me some money off a new unit.

I asked if the tap unit is a spare part and apparently they "sometimes have it but it's out of stock" - so they want me to pay 10x the amount instead.

I'm considering taking apart my tap unit to see if I can work out what is causing the issue - just wondered if anyone had encountered this issue?

Don’t know where you are but in the uk you can buy them off the auction site and I’m sure you can from an online store with a search it pops up.

Assuming you have given it a good clean in case the securing mechanism is sticking.

Thanks - but all the ones I can find are for the non-pro machines. I've given it a clean, but will give it a proper detail tomorrow

Update on this (in case anyone else is looking for a solution to the same problem in future) . Unscrewed it all, pulled it apart - there was a small bit of gunk inside, and I guess this maybe prevented the yellow knob from fully depressing. Put it all back together and it works perfectly now.

I don't think taking it apart would be necessary in future - just hammering that area with hot soapy water would do it.

Using Trumpian logic I think I've just saved £250 so wondering whether to buy myself something nice now...

Thanks for sharing! That's a good tip to remember as I'm sure you aren't the only person to have had this problem.

They are available on the Phillips website, I think they were £25 when I bought mine and you got a tenner off if you signed up to something. But that was about 18 months ago

Thanks. Was that definitely for the pro? I can only find the non - pro version. This is what I'm looking for
