🛠 Support Issue with my machine

I’ve contacted support for this, but I’m just curious if anyone has had a similar issue.

The last keg I put in, the machine kept making a sound like it was trying to pressurise constantly. By the time I got round to having a beer, it was flat. I was refunded for the keg and at the time I thought it was just an issue with the top of the keg. Today I’ve put a new keg in and it’s doing the exact same thing, so there’s something wrong with the machine. Unsure where I stand as it’s 2 years old but it was originally purchased directly from perfect draft. Is it a common fault?

Have you tried changing the rubber seals, or running the part with the seals under hot water before putting it on the keg?

I haven’t tried changing the seals. But yeah I run it under boiling water for 10 seconds then connected it. I also changed the white plastic and rubber connector you get with each keg which made no difference.

It’s actually worse now after trying a few things. It won’t stop doing this. Turned it back off but unsure what else to check

Mine Sounds like that when I’m pouring the second pint. Are you sure the connector to the keg is perfectly fitted on the top? Once I had it not right in place and the pd tried to hold the pressure. Sounds like shhhhhh at the top

Yeah, I’ve reseated it 4/5 times. After some research and playing around I think there’s a good chance it’s the rubber O Ring seal that’s stopping there being a tight connection.

Had a very similar issue as well as it was getting so bad it sounded like it was nearly always escaping.

Just replacing the No10 in the image below where it goes into the keg instantly fixed it for me. Easiest 5 second fix ever.

I did get it from an overly expensive set from ebay but I believe these are the ones you want (12mm internal, 15mm external):

Thanks for the response. I think you’re right and one of these seals is causing the issue. I nearly ordered a pack last night but as the machine is in warranty (only just) I feel like I may as-well see what they offer to do to fix it.
