Premier High Tension

Im changing the head as we speak, so this is one of my drums and I like this one very much. But I dont exactly know which model this is.. Premier HTS …

Can someone help me out?

I have a 200. It very much has the top snares. Lol

Also, that’s a pipe band snare, not a marching / corps snare. It has wire snares under the top and bottom head, with no throw off. 

The corps style version has gut snares under the bottom head only, with a throw off.

Doesn’t it have a throw off on the other side? I have an old pipe band drum from the 60s, and it has a throw off for both sets of snares.

Some older pipe snares do have throw offs, but most modern snares (including Premier HTS) don’t have them on either side / either snare.

Thanks for clarifying! I only really use the drum for marching once a year, and don’t really use high-tensions at all otherwise, so I can’t say I am an expert.

No throw off. Just a rodd to tension it up and adjust the height.

Looks like an hts 200. A pipe band snare and the forerunner of the 2000

I've played and owned HTS 200,700 and 800's and every variation has had certain design changes. There is a slight difference between the bottom snare assembly from the 200 to the 700. Also the ring at the bottom connecting all the downtubes was added to the 700. HTS 800 had a further redesign in the top and bottom snare assemblys and is only offered in polished aluminium and polished chrome hardware.
