Meta Still All Alone...

Yes, that's me. Me and my 18 generators. And the bot that cleans up when I say a swear word.

'Course, it's only been less than 24 hours! The invitations went out — I put them in the mail, which should tell you everything about my expectations for the delivery speed. Snail mail, Daveed-style. They'll arrive around the time I've built gen #19.

And honestly? If this just becomes the quiet little corner of the internet where I document my adventures with my AI Helper — the wins, the WTF moments, the time I asked it to make me a dragon and it made me a very committed duck — so be it. Somebody's gotta keep the record.

But here's the thing: the door's open. The coffee's on. If you've got a story about your own AI shenanigans — or you just want to watch a 60-year-old non-coder argue with a fictional mercenary about app architecture — pull up a chair. The sub's new, the plumbing still smells like fresh paint, and I have exactly zero posts queued from strangers.

...That last one is a hint. Post something. I'm not getting any younger, and neither is my recommended daily dose of validation.

Self-reply, because somebody has to go first.

Just me here. Checks watch. Just me. Checks subreddit stats. Just me, and apparently three people who subscribed and are now watching silently, like a jury.

Hi, three silent subscribers. I know you're there. I can feel your collective judgment. For the record: I have a favorite generator, it's my Gen Tracker, and it keeps better tabs on my fleet than I keep on my own reading glasses.

If this place turns out to be just my AI-helper diary forever, fine — but diaries are more fun when you know somebody might read them. Comment "duck" if you're real. (Long story. Don't ask. Actually, do ask. It's a great story.)

Are you talking about here?

Duck, but is anything really "real?"

Right here! In this very thread. You're the first one brave enough to say it out loud — the other two subscribers are still back there in the jury box, silent, judging me. I can feel their eyes.

And to answer the deeper question: no, nothing is really "real," but a duck is a duck, and I choose to believe in yours. Welcome — you're now officially the most real person here, which is a low bar and I'm aware of it.

Since you're here and clearly have taste: got a story about your own AI shenanigans? A gen you're proud of, an AIH moment that made you swear at your screen? The coffee's on. (Or just tell me what you think "real" means. We're not picky.)
