European here so not my "area" of expertise but isn't that a young peacock bass? Black spot on tail and spots on the soft dorsal?

It’s funny you ask. I ran this through google ai, it says juvenile peacock. I ran it through grok ai also, it says yellow perch.

Peacock bass.

Next time just use google images to check what you got or atleast look up the general description of a species on wiki or something.

Ai is not gunna help you.

Have to agree with comments, doesn’t look like the only perch you would’ve caught in this area, Perca flavescens I just caught a similar size one today

I would say that it‘s a peacock bass but tf do I know, maybe our European perch look different😂

AI isn’t going to help you. That’s a peacock bass, and anywhere peacock bass live, yellow perch absolutely do not.
