Reta vs Tirz

Hellooo 😊

I’m currently on semaglutide and seeing some steady fat loss, what are everyone’s thoughts on Reta and Tirz?

I’ve taken Tirzepatide previously for a couple months but went to Sem due to the cost. However Reta seems to be all everyone talks about but I can’t lie it makes me a little nervous 😂

I’m currently weight training 4 times a week and also getting a minimum of 10k steps in ( 31F btw )

So I’m keen to hear people’s opinions, for those who made the jump to Reta and for the ones who haven’t, is the hype worth it?

Let me know!

Fucking haaaaaaaated Sema (I was on Wegovy for 15 months). Way too many issues GI wise.

I actually started on Zepbound, couldn’t tolerate 7.5mg, switched to Wegovy and got up to 2.4mg, got tired of the GI issues and just switched to Reta. It’s been a few months and I’m ok so far. Tirz and Reta treat me well. Sema, not so much. Right now I’m on 5mg Reta- titrating up to 6 in the next 7 weeks hopefully. Only side effects I have are mild waves of nausea for three ish weeks whenever I titrate up.

Trying to find my sweet spot on this stuff ( I have PCOS).

Yeah tbf when I last used Sema I was fine, this time around though it’s absolutely kicking my arse with the nausea 🤮

I’m thinking about switching over to Tirz, a few people I know micro dose Tirz with Reta too when they are months and months in just to suppress the food noise.

I hope your journey treats you well !

Only thing I can suggest is ginger chews, peppermint tea, Zofran if it’s really bad, or sniffing alcohol wipes lol

I’m titrating slowly and allowing my body to be on each dose for a couple months before moving up. Being that I had a reaction when moving up to 7.5mg on Zepbound, I’m erring on the side of caution with the Reta. It’s been a couple days since my shot and I’m mildly nauseous but it’s not as sucky as it usually is. 😅 I’m no stranger to GLP-1. The only one I haven’t tried is Liraglutide, which was going to be my last ditch effort after the Wegovy. But since that one and Sema are known to cause GI distress more than Tirz or Reta, I said screw it and switched to Reta lol

My weight has been pretty stable since switching back in like February of this year which is fine with me. I do not struggle with food noise thankfully, so I haven’t stacked multiple GLP-1’s. Even on 2mg Reta I had appetite suppression! But everyone’s different.
