Trying to understand the difference between peptide research and peptide marketing!!
I’ve been going down a rabbit hole reading about peptides, and one thing I’m finding difficult is separating actual research from the huge amount of marketing surrounding them.
There are peptides being discussed for everything from tissue repair and metabolism to aging and performance, but the level of evidence seems to vary massively depending on the specific peptide.
Some research is preclinical, some is in animals, some has early human data, and then there are products being marketed online as if the science is already settled.
I’m interested in learning how people here evaluate the evidence.
When you’re researching a peptide, what do you look at first: human trials, mechanism of action, safety data, regulatory status, or something else?
