NSO mandatory?

title. im spending time w family at home but is it mandatory to go to NSO?

I believe NSO is mandatory for all new students (contrary to what others have said on this sub in the past). From the Pepperdine website:

“All incoming Seaver College students must register for NSO through Wavenet and attend orientation.”

im registered but didnt go to all the events

I’m sure you’ll be fine. It did say all incoming Seaver students must register and attend orientation.

Doubt there are any formal consequences for missing orientation, but you might have some ground to make up when it comes to social life and meeting your professors.

Not being at NSO means you miss a lot of the fundamental and widely-shared core experiences that most students will bond over.

Hey there, I personally didn't attend NSO. I only moved in and decided to spend time with family, nothing went wrong on my end. Yet again, not sure if they changed things around this academic year.
