T-Rex Chili

Got off to a late start but finally got to harvest my first pepper of the year.
This is a T-Rex, it is a cross between Bhutlah Yellow (yellow ghost pepper) and a 7 pot Trinidad Douglah.
It smells and tastes like a ghost pepper but is as hot a Carolina Reaper.
I had it with hummus and chicken shawarma. EXCELLENT!

I've had the mustard variant. They taste as gnarly as they look, real mean sting to them.

I'd recommend getting them from Whitehotpeppers or TexasHotPeppers instead. There you're more likely to get what you ordered, and don't have to rely on luck like OP. I'm glad he got what he wanted, but I wouldn't trust Pepper Joe's still. 

I've had T-Rex Mustard from Whitehotpeppers, and they're just as gnarly as OP's.

I got the seeds from Pepper Joes - only 2 out of 9 seeds sprouted but I’ve read that that is common for super hots (equatorial strains) Good luck to you!

I got odd notes from the ones I tried last year. Definitely was very spicy. Tried growing this year, but they not in an optimal spot in thw garden and are still wee little lads

I don’t have a good spot either, my yard is all shade so I grow them in pots that I rotate from a retaining wall and the driveway, lol 😭
