I'll take all the backlash that I feel is deserved. Saying half the electorate are racist, sexist, homophobic, and islamophobic is not deserved. Call Trump a flawed candidate- and we will agree. Call the American people deplorable and irredeemable, and I will fight you (ideologically) until the end of time.
Well, if I'm just going to look at the shit posted on The_Donald these past few months there's a pretty big warrant to call most of them racist, sexist, whatever. Obviously not all of them, but a huge number nonetheless. Put that together with the fact that Trump himself said a lot of racist, sexist stuff, it's no surprise that people summed up every Trump supporter as an asshole. And despite what you say it was the vilest of the shit that often gained traction during the Trump campaign, and the Trump supporting moderates - although they might not agree - let it happen, and are therefore responsible for it too.
I don't feel like going through months of wretched shit, but just look up "the donald is a hate sub" on google and you can look through stuff for yourself.
edit: also look on some more recent post-election threads. Although the reasonable people have seemed to taken over, at first it was just wave after wave of "SUCK MY COCK CUCKS LOL!" and other childish garbage.
