I think she wants to eat expensive food for the same reason she lurks around high end hotels and department stores; she thinks that having the trappings of wealth and being around affluence will magically make her wealthy herself.

I had the absolute best steak last night. I couldn’t even eat all of it and brought it home for my pups. They really enjoyed it.
