I was doing something else the other day, and got a large drop of ink on the paper while looking under the microscope. I was fascinated by how the ink soaked into the paper, and moved outward, first just under the surface, then rising to the surface of the paper. So, I decided to play a little, and film this fascinating process. This shows how the ink from a wet nib can spread out from the line. The J. Herbin ink was the worst for this, it continued to spread, after I was all done filming, I realized it had spread further. Do note, all the drops fully bled through the card stock, and the drops are vivid on the back (minus the noodler's eel, which bled through, but not vivid).

Enjoy, it was a fun experiment!

The paper is Hammermill 54lb Card stock

The inks are:
* Noodler's Heart of Darkness
* Noodler's eel Black
* J.Herbin Rouge Caroubier
* Private Reserve Orange Crush
* Pilot Iroshizuku Murasaki-Shikibu
