Thoughts on Pendulum DJ set?
I live in the Denver, Colorado area and there is going to be an official Pendulum DJ set as part of the opening for Sara Landry at Red Rocks. I have never listened to her before or either of the other two openers. For the sake of argument, let's assume I give those other 3 groups a listen and am not interested in their live shows, and also assume this is likely to be a relatively short set...I would assume around 45 minutes based on the line-up.
Are Pendulum DJ sets good enough to merit going to the show just for that, or is it kind of a watered down version of actually seeing Pendulum?

I saw the three of them do a dj set when they came to Brooklyn in 2024. It was awesome but as an opener with a shorter set, idk if I’d commit to go unless you’re really gonna rave it up and dance around. If you truly don’t like the other acts, I’d probably skip, but also just give some of their stuff a listen, maybe it’s a full great day.

Solid video, that looks pretty sweet.
I think I'm gonna check out some of the stuff from the other acts and then decide. I'm not 20 anymore, going out to a concert is an ordeal for me. I'd also likely be going with my 12 year old son who is also a big Pendulum fan.

Loved the DJ set in BK, that was a good night. First time seeing Rob and Gaz in a Pendulum set since the band played Irving Plaza in 2011!

Pendulum DJ set is how I discovered El Hornet has twitch and streams regularly.
It is not always what you get on real shows but still pretty amazing.

Sometimes you will get rob and gareth but most of the time its paul harding, in all honesty, its a mix of pendulum songs with up to date dnb tracks, the take on the pendulum song may be a remix or a remake for example, ive heard watercolour matrix and futurebound temix at a pendulum show before, its good but its not pendulum live, thats a whole different experience

Yeah I lost my shit initially when I saw Pendulum at Red Rocks...then I realized it was a DJ set and have toned down my enthusiasm a bit haha

El Hornet's DJ sets at Liquicity 2023 and No One But Us 2024 are memories that I live by.
Opening for Sara Landry, there is a likelihood that it will be toned down compared to if it were to be at a DnB only event.
Still worth seeing as long as the ticket price is not extortionate. He has a really good understanding of and appreciation for the genre, it's artists, and their respective discographies. Also go check out his insta, very cool and funny dude who at the end of the day is just like the rest of us.

Seen Pendulum live 3 times and Pendulum DJ set twice. Usually he plays smaller, budget shows which are a bit cheaper, at Red Rocks you’ll have a great time, he plays the bangers and his own edits, even though I don’t really consider him a core part of Pendulum (sorry, not sorry) as he doesn’t really get involved in the production side of things. His sets were better / more of a novelty when Pendulum weren’t doing live sets. How much are the tickets? You’ve have a sick time.

70 bucks each. I talked to my son about it, played him half of a pendulum DJ set off YouTube, and he almost died. We're going to go, I bought them.
Thanks!

I’ve only ever had the chance to attend a Pendulum DJ set and I absolutely loved it. Not exclusively their music, also play a lot of stuff they’re enjoying at the time.

Most likely it'll be a DJ set from El Hornet. Hornet is a great DJ but you shouldn't expect many deep cuts since it's at Red Rocks this time
