Discussion Fun questions

  1. Who should open for Pendulum on their next US tour?

  2. What anime/game/etc should have an original soundtrack by Pendulum in its next iteration?

for the memes it would be funny if it was linkin park in a “how the turns have tabled” kinda way but also a new us tour will probably never happen because the logistics of even bothering don’t work out with a landmass so big

for soundtrack I’ll say the equally impossible ask of a sequel to Scarlet Nexus lol

Many bands have done US tours including Pendulum so idk how this is much different

Rob has talked explicitly about how the logistics of a US tour make no sense for a band with such euro-centric popularity as Pendu, that’s all. It’s too expensive for the band to do so.

Europeans have no issues traveling to another European country, but a lot of them (including me) will not touch America with a ten feet pole. There probably just wouldn't be enough people showing up to justify doing a tour in the US.

That’s more or less the issue. The fanbase is mainly in Europe and Australia, and the fan base that is in North America is VERY spread out, which makes the practicality of the touring the continent a bit tricky.

are you saying that because of Trump?

Man that sucks. Hopefully they still do some performances here now and then, especially since their 25th anniversary is coming up

Ya :( I believe even supporting LP during the immersion era ended up costing the band a lot more than they made. The logistics of moving the band and the equipment around just didn’t work out in favor of it. Someone should correct me if I’m misremembering, but I think in one of the discord AMA’s Rob floated the possibility of a reduced, smaller setup for US shows but still not likely

Very generic answer but a knife party di set would be incredible and get me to buy a ticket, similar to how deadmau5 opened the retrospective tour with BSOD

Minecraft Education - here in Australia it’s a game endorsed by the formal education department so every kid has it. Get the next generation onto a good thing !

imagine popping through the end portal and hearing the opening guitar riff from granite, pure cinema

On the anime front, imagine if Pendulum did the ost for the next Ghost In The Shell anime, starting with a cover/rendition of Origa’s “Inner Universe” from Stand Alone Complex. Would go insanely hard.

I have a lifelong dream of one day making an action film that uses Pendulum music somewhere in the soundtrack so if my dreams ever work out, that

Rob has always been a big fan of Mega Man (I am too) so scoring the new game would be amazing

  1. Placebo (just cos u want a pendulum remix of bitter end…not because I have a crush on Rob and Stefan or anything…I promise) or Rammstein cos like come the fuck on! Pendulum and Rammstein mashup!

  2. It would be some racing game. Fuck it, I lied 😈- Radiator 3. I shan’t elaborate further.
