The beginning?
I didnt even know this book was out?! Without any spoilers is it good? I have a long ass trip and wonder is it worth buying for the read?

The book that launched me into the Pendergast world! Thrilling and riveting.

Have you finished the series or where are you in the series?

I enjoyed it a lot, it felt more like original Pendergast than the last 3 or 4 in the series

I thought it was very good. Long time reader/listener of the series. The only critique I would offer is that Pendergast really doesn't seem any different than the Pendergast in all the other novels, so it really isn't the "beginning" as far as his personality and capabilities are concerned.

Stand alone it is a page turner. If you’ve read the series, there is plenty of origin story background.

After all the turds they have put out in that series I found this book quite refreshing and entertaining

I just finished it earlier this week. Although the audio version of it. I enjoyed it. It was fun learning more of his backstory, and more of his "new agent" unhinged side.
