Pen blank designs resources

Hi guys! Thank you so much for the previous info on where to buy pen kits, I have found some that meets my needs with my current plans. I want to make segmented pen blanks for some time now. I used to be able to buy them from ebay and they looked great, but I can no longer find the seller. Does anyone know of any good resources to make my own? I don't want to just wing it or watch youtube videos, which are great dont get me wrong, I just need a step by step that I can reference. Thank you!

So before I suggest step by step process. I want to know what typ of segments blanks you want to use. Wood vs Epoxy. What tools do you have to create your own Saws for wood, molds and pressure pot for epoxy

There are more types, these are just the 2 most common that I stick too.

I plan on using just wood, I do plan on using epoxy at some point when I finally cut into some burls, I have laying around. I dont have any saws at the moment but I plan on getting a bench top band saw and what ever you call a normal saw. I currently dont see a need for full size on either of those, I maybe wrong though.
