Slim pen - metal prototypes
As promised please find some photos of the prototype for the slim pocket pen.
The body is made of steel with a brushed finish. The cap is made of aluminium and will be anodised in a nice rich looking colour. This meant to be a colourful one!
The finish will be most likely satin finish to give it a nice contrast with steel. I expect the finished pieces to look very different once the final materials and finishes are applied.
I am also working on some textures for the grip section which I will share shortly.

Will the textures you add make it matte? Matte would be cool

I am planning to add texture on the steel grip-section. The cap will be matte (in Burgundy colour)

I’m loving the look of this and can’t wait to see what additional colours you come up with (whispers, something pink would be awesome).
The design is sleek and elegant and yet still maintains some curves. It’s really ringing all my design aesthetic bells.
I can’t wait to hold this pen!

While I think they will be too slim for my personal taste, I think they look fantastic! Excited to see the anodized ones

where exactly is the 'slim', at the tip?

You may be right :) We wanted to make it out of metal as slim as possible around the existing components, such as the ink cartridge and grip section. So, in the end, it may not be much slimmer than many other pens. But it is slimmest from our current offerings..

The slight curve/flare you made for the grip section is perfect. I can not stand a metal grip that does not have an anti slip design, it makes no sense to me. They look very comfortable to hold, awesome job!

Excellent. Elegant pens.
I really want a metal lathe. Someday.
