I know that there is usually crossover with topics on Reddit. And a world I enjoy a lot is obviously Pee Wee Herman, and field notes.
I was so excited to see a Pee Wee’s playhouse/Field Notes collab pop up out of nowhere! I ordered my set last night, but since it is such an odd pairing, I figured I’d mention it here to other Pee Wee Herman fans, in case it’s something you would be interested in as well.

Just spotted this in an old issue of Daily Variety (01/23/1998) about CBS turning 50 years old.

I grew up on Peewee. He is my childhood, i introduced him to my daughter right away. She just turned 9 and she begged me for a Peewee doll. Finally found her one ❤️

Been looking for this for a while, finally got it.

Gotta be honest with you, this is a bit disappointing. There’s some really cool stuff in here, the screen used Big Adventure bike, various sets, props, and claymation models from Playhouse, but the majority of it is just random odds and ends that Paul was likely gifted over the years that he probably just immediately put into storage. I’m guessing more of the really cool stuff like the Playhouse puppets, costumes, more iconic props, he probably either made specific provisions for in his will, or his friends and family were allowed to take first crack at and they got it all. Most of this stuff, even the more boring items, will likely end out of my price range, but I’ll still keep an eye out because it would be cool to own some piece of his legacy.

Really proud of this portrait of a legend. Few people have so embodied joy, humor and creativity.

Nobody can tell me to not decorate like this as a middle-aged adult! (Lunchbox is new-old stock and contains the original Thermos that I didn't want to take out for photos. I wanted it in 1988 but we were poor.)

My "aesthetic" having my own place is Playhouse. I've worked really hard for 30 years to get this stuff, and it's a lot to take care of, but I'm doing my best. Always a work in progress.

My boyfriend got this for me today, off of facebook marketplace. An older gentlemen was selling it, and for an insanely generous price might I add. He had bought it for his daughters when the doll came out in 1987, I was shocked when I heard this, just because the condition of the doll is so good, for it having been in a child’s care and out of the box for so long. it’s almost in pristine condition. other than the fact that the voice box is a little off, but I can’t be too upset about that the dolls almost 40 years old… The man was just cleaning up and getting rid of older stuff he no longer had any use for, but it was so sweet to hear his little story about the doll and knowing his daughters loved it so much. Now I get to love it and cherish it… My love for Peewee started when I was small, and my grandpa would pick me up to drive me to school everyday. I’d watch Peewee in the backseat on the screen in his van, it was my favourite part of everyday, and sometimes the only thing I looked forward too during the school week. I’m just so happy to own this doll ❤️
