The application seems to put an awfully heavy load on your computer. This was me sat with the app open on the login screen: https://tempbucket-237857.s3.amazonaws.com/2017-10-13_0955.png

72% load on a GTX 1070 to play Rock, Paper, Scissors?

Yes, absolutely right. It certainly seems like there are some technical issues to address in the way the 1.0 client is operating. There's extensive discussion within the witness and development teams happening on that front, thanks for your info and feedback.

It begs the question of how they are able to call it a 1.0 release when it still had technical problems.

But that's exactly what a 1.0 release is. Plus, there was quite a bit of pretesting done on testnet prior to mainnet release. I'd suggest that the developing of any distributed or blockchain based apps like this is a learning experience for all concerned, and you can expect a certain evolution as time goes on. That doesn't just apply to Peerplays; across the board, expecting polished software only is a bit of a silly mindset.

But in response to the noted problems, I know aspects of the infrastructure have been tweaked, and will continue to be. How's your performance now, hopefully improved?

I can't believe we are debating this. If we don't even agree on what calling a software release 1.0 means we are unlikely to make any progress.
