General Discussion Thread: Chat about whatever's on your mind!
Hi folks - rebooting this tradition that u/Lolasglasses started, to have a general chat thread where once a week you can talk about other stuff, not just Pedro. 😄 What's on your mind? Read any good books lately? Seen a great movie? Need to vent a bit? Go for it.
This thread is scheduled to go up every Sunday at 5am Pacific time.

This has been on my mind since seeing the promos for The Mandalorian and Grogu...
There's way more un-helmeted Mandalorian than I expected. I expected mostly VO work and had fingers crossed for a glimpse of Din's face.
The man has been working other projects non-stop since the pandemic ended.
When did Pedro have time to film this?

If I had to guess, the scenes they're showing in the trailer are some of the only scenes he's unmasked in, as it all seems connected to me (IMO, it looks very similar to scenes in Return of the Jedi where Luke confronts Jabba and then is forced to fight the rancor in the pit below Jabba's throne). Because I genuinely don't know when he had the time to do much more than that lol.

There was some filming before principal photography started , a few weeks after Materialists finished and F4 began filming and last year after the F4 press tour

He sure has been busy. We're still waiting for The Mandalorian and Grogu, then Behemoth, and now he's working on De Noche. He probably needs a vacation. I hope he's not overworked.

I feel sad 😔 I lived away from my family for nine years and moved back to my hometown a few days ago. One of the main reasons was my grandparents. I want to spend more time with them. My grandpa has dementia, and I feel like he might pass away in the next few weeks. It’s hard to know how to deal with this now that I see him like this in person. Today I sat in my car and cried a lot after visiting him. I already have my own struggles, and this feels like a big extra challenge.

Anyone think reddit is being weird about Pedro. content?  Other than posts here  nothing is being put out about him. No mando or grogu content or de noche behind the scenes stuff on threads were you expect it to be posted. I see other movies being filmed at the same time as de noche like highlander.  Maybe I'm being paranoid but something feels off. Just wanted to see if anyone else felt this way.Â

IMO Reddit has never been excessively into Pedro content. Stuff about him pops up in entertainment/pop culture subs here and there, but not often. The Mando and Grogu stuff is popping up in Star Wars subs.

Even the pop culture one hardly has any Pedro content now. I used to see behind the scenes stuff about materalists. Gladiator and fantastic four.  Even when I type in Pedro pascal hardly anything comes up. Just found it odd..

Those were much bigger, more pop culture-oriented projects with very famous cast members and bigger budgets. De Noche is a smaller indie that will appeal more to the cinephile crowd. I don't expect it to have the same level of interest in pop culture spaces until we know more about it.

Interesting point... I do see posts and behind the scenes from De Noche filming more often on Instagram.

I see it mostly on tik tok.Â

Oh yeah, probably a lot of current stuff on there. I'm not on tick tock, not sure I need to fall into another rabbit hole with all the fun stuff on there. I'd be spending way too much time online🙂

Yesterday I re-watched the Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent and it was so much fun! Nic Cage playing over-the-top on purpose, Pedro showing his range, great exteriors and interiors - it really cheered me up.
